Description:
This bread is a scrumptious, moist and yummy treat.
DILLMAN PRODUCT USED:
Dillman Farm Apple Butter
- 2 c. all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup apple juice
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. margarine, melted
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. raisins
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, soda, and salt in a large bowl. Stir in 3/4 cup apple butter, apple juice, margarine and egg. Fold in raisins and walnuts. Grease and flour loaf pan. Pour half the batter into pan. Gently place remaining 3/4 cup apple butter over batter. Bake at 350° for 65-75 minutes or until top springs back when lightly touched in center. Cool 15 minutes before removing from pan and continue to cool on rack. Makes 1 loaf
